It’s always an exciting honor to photograph the weddings of friends. I’ve known Serge since he was in his Freshman year at California Institute of the Arts. He is an incredibly talented graphic designer, artist, and thinker. When I met his beautiful lady Sara who is an excellent poet and a teacher, I knew immediately that they were the perfect match.
Serge and Sara had a destination wedding of sorts, bringing their close friends and family together for a few days of fun in Lenox, Massachusetts, just a few hours North of New York City. Their wedding was held at Edith Wharton’s estate, The Mount. Walking into Edith Wharton’s house makes you feel like you’re stepping back in time and transports you to another world. It was the perfect location for a wedding and I loved incorporating details of the house and grounds into their photos.
I was lucky to have my good friend and kick-ass photographer Jacklyn Greenberg of Jag Studios along for the day. Planning and details were expertly handled by the cool and classy masterminds at Glitter and Rye. The beautiful flower work was done by Crocus Hale Flowers. The event was catered by Mezze Events.
